Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
What an amazing day! Today went as smoothly as we could have hoped for and it was fantastic having the 'buzz', busyness and excitement back in school. Inevitably there was the odd tear but overall everyone has been so pleased to see their friends again.
I am so proud of you all for the resilience and bravery you have shown - keep up the great work!
Today we celebrated a very 'different' World Book Day, with many of our children continuing to learn from home.
Each class teacher hosted a World Book Day quiz for the children in their class that are not currently attending school, whilst the children in school shared a story with Mr Hopkinson through Microsoft Teams.
All the children, whether at home or at school, had the opportunity to dress up too and we have loved seeing the variety of costumes on show (including the staff)!
The entire school community have also been busy making story jars - a jar which represents one of their favourite stories - which are being proudly displayed along the allotment fence next to the school driveway.
Well done to everyone who entered the Winter Photograph Competition. They were all amazing and as a staff we found it very difficult to choose.
After much deliberation, we chose 6 finalists:
Patrick, Class 1
Edward, Class 2
Noah, Class 3
Phia, Class 3
Safeeya, Class 6
Our community entry was Jack R.
A video that showcases the entries can be viewed by clicking here.
A huge congratulations to Noah in Class 3 who is the overall winner in the competition. He was chosen from entries from four other schools, The Nottingham Girls' High School, St. Ann's Well Academy, Springbank Primary and Southwold Primary.
Congratulations also to Patrick in class 1 who was a runner up. Both of your prizes are on their way.
Everyone who entered the competition will receive a certificate.
Thank you for participating and for your support. Look out for the next competition!
Thank you to everyone that got involved with the paper plate activity for Children's Mental Health Week. We think they look amazing and bring lots of colour to our dining area!
We have been impressed by the amount of plates we have received - we still have some more to put up!
We are all very excited to be welcoming all children back to school on Monday 8th March. We have missed you so much and cannot wait to see you again. Your teachers have been very busy preparing their classrooms ready for you coming back to school and have some fantastic activities planned for you.
Not long to go now!
