  • Sports Day Success

Thu 27 Jun 2019 Mr Hopkinson

Thank you to everyone that attended our Sports Day. The children were absolutely brilliant and loved having you all there to support them. The weather was not too bad either!

It was also great to see so many eager people joining in with the parents' race. Some would say 'too eager'!

  • Science Detectives

Mon 17 Jun 2019 Mr Hopkinson
This week at Science Tots, the children have been learning to be science detectives. They investigated a variety of activities using a range of skills and methods, including chromatography, mystery messages, fingerprinting, acids and alkalis, footprints and microscopes.
  • Forest School Up and Running

Wed 12 Jun 2019 Mr Hopkinson
Today saw our first Forest School session, with Mrs Harvey taking a group of Year 2 children for an afternoon of den building. I was very impressed to see the children kitted out in their weatherproof clothing and braving the weather! Whilst the initial stages will only see a small group of children taking part in Forest School sessions, we are looking forward to rolling this out from September.
  • Science from the Kitchen

Mon 10 Jun 2019 Mr Hopkinson

This week at science tots the children did science with things they can find in the kitchen. The children used skittles to make patterns and they used their sense of taste to describe different textures of food. They finished off the session with making lemon volcanoes which was very exciting!

  • Playground Work

Fri 07 Jun 2019 Mr Hopkinson

On Thursday 13th and Friday 14th, part of the playground near the community room (Woodpeckers) will be closed off. This is because we are having two Reaction Boards (https://www.activall.co.uk/assets/images/ActivAll-Indoor-Reaction-Wall-1.jpg) installed on the playground, which we are very excited about!
