This week at Science Tots the children were investigating science jobs they can do when they grow up. They explored being a dentist, botanist, archaeologist, doctor, engineer and an astronomer. They became environmental scientists, saying how they could make the environment better.
The children have had a very busy day exploring different scientific activities. Foundation classes were in awe of the chemical reactions. Year 1 classes investigated how to use forces to launch a rocket mouse. Year 2 classes observed living and non-living animals, shells and insects. Thank you to our visitors Meghan Shore and Dr Sarah Storr who wowed the children with their knowledge and experiments. The most exciting news of the day was the arrival of the ducklings who should be hatching any time soon! We will keep you posted…
This week at science tots the children have been learning to be science detectives. They investigated a variety of activities, chromatography, mystery messages, fingerprinting, acids and alkalies, footprints and even used microscopes!
This week at Science Tots the children were investigating the weather. They made rain clouds and experimented with a tornado in a bottle. They also investigated using liquids of different density to make the colours of the rainbow.
