    New Parents' Meeting

    Wednesday 10th June 2020

We are so sorry not to be able to welcome you into school for the new parents' meeting this week. However, hopefully you will have chance to watch our first ever 'virtual new parents' meeting' at your leisure! It can be found in our Video Resource centre at the following link: https://arnold-woodthorpe-infant-school.primarysite.media/media/new-parents-information-presentation-2020-21.

We hope you find it interesting and informative. If, after watching this, you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact Miss Tyler on newstarters@arnoldwoodthorpe.notts.sch.uk. We are very happy to answer any questions you may have and look forward to meeting you and your children soon.

  • 'First' Day Back

Mon 08 Jun 2020 Mr Hopkinson

Today was a very exciting day as we got to welcome back our Year 1 children in addition to the children of key workers. The children and staff have done a brilliant job at adapting to the new routines we have put in place and have managed to have lots of fun in the process!

Each group have created a new name for themselves to create a team identity. There was some deliberation and voting taking place this morning but all the names have now been confirmed.

Mrs Bright's group are the 'Never give up narwhals'.

Miss Sheppard's group are the 'Cheeky Cheetahs'.

Ms O'Hanlon's group are the 'Sunny Sloths'.

Ms McGuinness' group are the 'Proud Panthers'.

Mrs Sellers' group are the 'Plotting Platypuses'.

Brilliant names I am sure you will agree!

  • Reciprocity in the Playground

Wed 03 Jun 2020 Mr Hopkinson

The children we had in school today worked together to collect natural materials found in the playground to make this beautiful statement. We think it is amazing; wouldn't you agree?
