School Improvement

The School Improvement Plan is the document which drives ongoing improvements in school. The Governing Body is responsible for evaluating the progress made against the plan and has an approved process in place for regular effective monitoring.

The following priorities have been identified as the main areas for improvement for the 2020-21 academic year and are referred to as our 'school drivers'.

Priority 1: To ensure wellbeing is at the centre of our school community

How parents/carers can help:

  • Positively promote learning as fun and something everyone can achieve in

  • Promote and model the school's vision: be kind, be brave, be happy

Priority 2: To consolidate the Woodthorpe Infant School curriculum

How parents/carers can help:

  • Take an interest in your child's learning through being curious, asking questions and reading with them regularly

  • Communicate and work with your child's teacher to best support your child with their learning
