    Safeguarding at Woodthorpe Infant School

At Woodthorpe Infant School, safeguarding is our highest priority.  We are committed to ensuring that every child feels safe, valued and supported.  All pupils have the right to grow, learn and thrive in a secure environment, and we work tirelessly to uphold this.

We recognise our moral and statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children. We aim to:

    • Provide a safe, trusting and welcoming environment
    • Ensure children feel respected, listened to and valued
    • Identify concerns early and act quickly
    • Work closely with families and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes.

All staff, volunteers, governors must read, understand and follow our safeguarding policies. Our approach is fully aligned with the Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSCP) and statutory guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE).
