Some children from year one and two had an exciting morning at Springbank Primary School.
The children were invited to use the school’s Phiz Lab to investigate magnets and electric circuits with Springbank’s scientist in residence Matthew Bullock. The children undertook a variety of exciting activities linked to magnets and then challenged themselves to see how many paperclips they could string from the magnet. They also created their own circuits using recognisable circuit symbols and included a switch. This gave them a greater understanding of how the switch worked and why it was needed for a complete circuit.
